Fast Track
Fast Track Criteria
Applications that are dealt with under the Fast Track facility, which is used
to identify and prioritise potentially straightforward applications will
normally be resolved within five working days from the time of application. If
an applicant meets the criteria set out below they may use the Fast Track
facility.
If the applicant is applying for a visit visa and has travelled to the UK, USA,
Canada, Australia or New Zealand WITHIN the last 5 years and has
evidence of this, or is biometric exempt or gratis or an emergency application
they will be treated as a fast track application. Members of the Uganda British
Alumni Association may also apply under the fast track criteria provided that
they have contemporaneous evidence of their membership.
Applications MUST be lodged by 1100 to be treated as FAST TRACK.

Timings
Applications should be submitted to VFS UK Visa Application Centre located in
Kampala. Click here for address.
Submission timings: 0800 hrs - 1500 hrs (Monday - Friday)
Collection timings:
Applicants who lodge their applications under Fast Track Criteria can collect
their decisions five working days after submission between 0900 hrs - 1200
hrs.
Other non-settlement applications can take up to 15 days to be processed.
Applicants are advised to contact VFS after 7 days to enquire about the
progress of their application.
Settlement applications can take up to 12 weeks to be processed. Applicants are
advised to contact VFS after three weeks to enquire about the progress of their
application.
